With two length options of cropped and long, Ardea Top is hand-knit sideways using Juniper Moon Farm Zooey. Designed by Ksenia Naidyon using the Uncommon Thread Linum, this lightweight Summer top features delicate textures and eyelets that mimic the movement of a bird's feathers in flight. The front and the back are worked separately and then seamed at the gently shaped shoulders. The sides of the top are joined with a three-needle cast-off for added structure.

Passerine is worked flat in four pieces from the bottom up, with raglan shaping. The raglan seams are sewn, then stitches are picked up around the neck for the neckband. The feather shape expands up the sleeves through cables at either side before being decreased again as part of the raglan shaping.
