From Indie Dyer to Successful Brand

Malabrigo yarns have become a well-loved and popular choice among knitters and crocheters since humble beginnings back in 2005 when two brothers-in-law in the US started dyeing wool in a kitchen pot at home.

This family-owned yarn company are now located in Uruguay and Peru, employing mostly women from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving jobs to those with fewer opportunities than most. Malabrigo are passionate about supporting the welfare of both the people they employ and the flocks of sheep from where they source their wools.
